2008 USA Quasar 5-day Retreat
Heart-Mind: The Divine Marriage
September 17 – 21, 2008 in Boston, MA

Presented by Hameed Ali (A.H. Almaas) and Karen Johnson

This 5-day retreat, which is open to the public and presented by the founders of the Diamond Approach, is the first of its kind to take place in the United States. The retreat will present a teaching on *The Divine Marriage*: the unity of mind and heart. No previous experience is required, and the retreat is open to both the general public and current students of the Diamond Approach. The retreat is meant for anyone interested in having a direct and experiential taste of the Diamond Approach work.

For the spiritual journey to be complete, we need both the openness and intelligence of the mind and the love and fullness of the heart. In a spiritual journey, the mind's intelligence and heart's fullness inform each other in a dynamic and complementary way. There is a dialectic between the heart and mind that we can learn to engage to reveal the inner treasures needed for true maturation and fulfillment of human life. In this retreat, we will explore how this complementarity of mind and heart is rooted in their primordial unity. Our realization of this unity, this divine marriage of mind and heart, enhances the power of our journey as we move toward deeper and deeper spiritual realization. It is this inseparability of brilliance and intimacy, clarity and love, that forms the essence of wisdom we need to live a real life and express the essential nature of our being.

The founders of the Diamond Approach, A.H. Almaas and Karen Johnson, will teach how we can combine the precision of insight with the richness of heart to open our experience into dimensions of awareness that neither element could reach alone. We will use discussions, meditations and exercises to discover and activate these precious faculties and capacities of the heart-mind continuum.
